Professor Tanya Goldman is a senior policy analyst/attorney at the Center for Law and Social Policy (CLASP), where she focuses on policy solutions that improve job quality for workers, strengthen worker protections, and increase economic security for low-income working families. 

Before CLASP, Ms. Goldman served as one of five judges appointed by the Secretary of Labor to the U.S. Department of Labor's Administrative Review Board. In that capacity, she issued decisions in cases arising under a wide range of worker protection laws, primarily involving whistleblower claims.

Previously, she was the Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Policy Advisor to the Administrator of the Wage and Hour Division at the U.S. Department of Labor, where she worked to protect and enhance labor rights.

Before joining the Wage and Hour Division, Professor Goldman prosecuted violations of federal employment laws at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). At the EEOC, she litigated nationwide systemic failure-to-hire cases on race and gender discrimination and also focused on equal pay and novel LGBT and disability law claims.

Professor Goldman was also a Forrester Fellow & Instructor at Tulane University Law School and a law clerk for Judge Vance on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. After law school, she worked in the Litigation and Antitrust Practice Group at King & Spalding.

Professor Goldman received her J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School and her B.A. with honors and distinction from Stanford University.

She is admitted to the California State Bar and District of Columbia Bar.
